This is the JRP 1/8 NPT stainless steel EGT weld on bung. This bung is designed to be welded onto your exhaust system if you do not already have one in place and wish to install one of our ranges of EGT based gauges or sensors. We have been selling our EGT products such as the Edge 52mm EGT gauges and 14in1 multi gauges for a few years now, and we have heard feedback from many of our customers who don’t already have a bung installed, and have taken their vehicle in to an exhaust shop to have a bung welded in so they can install their EGT sensor, only for them to find out that the wrong bung has been welded in, or that they are out of stock and tell people they have to order them in which takes time.
The JRP 1/8 NPT EGT weld on bungs are now here to take the guess work and availability out of the equation, so you can purchase one of these along with your gauge or EGT sensor and take it to your local exhaust shop, hand it to the fabricator and have them weld in this bung which is guaranteed to be compatible with your EGT sensor from JRP.
This bung could also be used for other applications such as temp or pressure sensors if the materiel they are being welded onto is steel.
