JRP EGT v2 Exhaust Gas Temp Sensor 3M 1/8 NPT

Here we have the JRP EGT v2 probe & cable, these are the exhaust gas temperature sensors that have been supplied with our gauge products since 2018, they have a proven track record of being extremely durable, reliable, accurate and are out there running in thousands of vehicles as we speak. They are made from 3030 stainless steel, have a 3mm probe, shielded induction points, use high quality 18 AWG multi core wire and come with a Deutsch plug connection on the end of the probe for easy disconnection from the supplied cable if they ever need replacing.

These can be used with any of our EGT gauge products as a replacement if required, or If you are looking for a quality exhaust gas temperature sensor for your aftermarket ECU or datalogger setup, the good old JRP EGT v2 is a great option, they are cost effective, have been in the market for over 3-years and proven to be great EGT sensors. These models can be especially appealing to those who are doing 4x, 6x or 8x EGT setups as the cost of the v2’s when using that many sensors is pretty reasonable.

We recommend these sensors for mild to moderate setups, but if you are running an extremely lean Naturally Aspirated vehicle, or a heavy duty diesel setup where you want to run the sensors pre-turbo, we would steer you towards our JRP EGT v3. The v3’s have been designed to handle the most rough conditions, such as NA’s that are running over 900c exhaust gas temps, or serious diesel builds that have lots of vibration and the sensors are wanting to be placed in the manifold before the turbo which really does give sensors a smashing. The v3 sensors have the important area’s that matter beefed up to cope with the most vigorous builds.

But with saying that, our JRP v2 EGT sensors are still a great little sensor, and are still supplied as standard with all of our gauge products, so that fact should give confidence that these are still a great sensor even if we have released the v3 version of our EGT sensors. Being to make the improvements we did on the v3 sensors this costs money, and not everyone has the same budget, and being the v2’s have served us so well over the years and will continue to for years to come, we didn’t think it was warranted to retire the v2’s, as not everyone has the budget to use v3’s and so we will be selling both models in tandem so that customers can choose which EGT they would like depending on use, budget etc.
