This is the third addon pack available for the JRP 14in1 v2.6, if customers require controlling relays based off temperatures read by the gauge, this kit is going to enable that functionally. So, for example, this addon pack can be used as a Thermo fan controller, you can use water temp as a trigger to turn on and off thermo fans connected to your vehicle as just one example. This addon pack enables Auxiliary triggering and includes one JRP relay kit as well to get things moving. The kit enables 3x Aux triggering independently, meaning you can control 3-relays with this kit at the same time, to control anything you can think of that can run off a relay that is triggered by temperatures read by the gauge. You can of course set user definable trigger temperatures within the gauge itself which will cause the triggering of the relay, this little addon pack will allow everything from something as simple as turning on and off aftermarket thermo fans on your radiator using water temps, to fans running on external oil or transmission coolers, to even more out of the box things like an intercooler spraying system based of temps read by the gauge for IAT.
This kit comes with the cable which will enable you to add 3x auxiliary triggers to relays, and you can use either water temp, oil or transmission temp, and also IAT readings to act as the trigger for the relays. The addon pack also comes with 1x JRP 30AMP relay kit as well, which we have made with a stackable relay holder, generous wiring already prepared, and a high quality fused relay. If you are only looking to use one trigger, such as water temp for thermo fans, you don’t need anything except this kit to get going. If you plan to use two or three triggers, we also sell our relay kits separately as well, so you can just add anymore relay kits you may need for your project.

Note, just like the Head Guard standard addon pack for the 14in1 v2.6, it is possible for customers of our older v2.5 systems to upgrade their screens which will then allow them to use this addon pack as well. We had to make changes to our screens hardware to enable the use of these new sensors and features, so it’s not possible to run any of these addon packs on v2.5 screens, but if you are the owner of one of our v2.5 systems and would like to add thermo fan control, or the low coolant sensor from the Head Guard addon pack, you simply can buy a v2.6 screen along with either of these two addon packs to expand the functionality of your existing systems. It’s difficult to make everything backwards compatible, but we have done our best to support our existing customers if they so wished to want to add some of these new features to their existing systems.
Below we just run through some standard and not so standard uses for these kits, from the information about you get the idea what this addon pack brings from a functional point of view to the new JRP 14in1 systems, and we just cover a little more information below for those that would like to learn a little more.
Standard Thermo Fan Controller
As we mentioned above, the most common use for this pack is if you wanted to run aftermarket thermo fans on your radiator to turn on above 90c as an example and turn off below 90c, the 14in1 gauge can now handle that for you. The gauge is always monitoring coolant temps, and once the gauge reads water temps go above 90c, it will connect a ground for the supplied relay which can then control your Themo fans. As above, there is a total of 3 Aux triggers that the system can handle at once, and you can setup a trigger for water temp, along with oil temp or trans temp, and IAT. So, if you also had some fans connected to an external transmission cooler as well as your radiator, this system can handle the triggering of both sets of fans using water temp readings for your radiator, and it will use the reading for transmission temps to trigger the relay for the fans on your transmission cooler, which saves using multiple thermo fan controller kits for the job. Not to mention not having to install multiple temp sensors as well, it’s just another innovation we have put into our 14in1 systems that will save customers having to use multiple products to achieve the results they need for their vehicles. One gauge system that does pretty much everything a customer may need for their vehicles.
Imaginative Temp Based Relay Control
Customers can also get really geeky with this type of functionally, just another example of its use, you have water spraying system setup on your intercooler, and if IAT temps reach a certain level that you want your spraying system to start spraying water onto your intercooler, you can do this as well, set your trigger to 70c for IAT, and once this temp is seen by the gauge, it will complete the ground to your relay setup and it will engage the water sprayers on your intercooler.
There are many different possibilities and uses for temperature based relay control, and imagination is really the only limit on how this could be used, be it for something as simple as triggering a set of standard thermo fans on the radiator, or something much more out of the box. We had many requests over the years to add this functionally to the 14in1 systems, and we listened. We are excited to hear of all the crazy different uses people find for this added functionally, as we know for sure it’s not just going to be limited to thermo Fan control, there is the scope to use this functionality for so many cool and different ideas, and we are sure our customers are going to surprise us with what they do with it.
